Alfredo the artist is asked by King Lenry to paint a portrait of Anya, a beautiful girl who lives in a remote village in his far away kingdom. Alfredo is the third person to be asked as there is some magic in the air which makes it hard to produce a true likeness of the girl. He eventually produces a wonderful painting but it causes problems for the king, leads Alfredo on a journey of discovery and turns the life of Anya upside down in a most unexpected way.
