He is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn his previous professional incarnations, he was a network administrator\/IT project manager and a research scientist in the fields of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. He has a MSc and a PhD in Physics from the University of Genoa, Italy.
