Like many women today I reached a point in my life when I decided it would be a good time to start a family of my own. I assumed that pregnancy would just happen when I was ready. But it didn't.Choosing the IVF pathway, I tell my story of the emotional and psychological challenges I faced from the IVF journey itself, and of how these challenges impacted on my way of thinking and self-belief system. My confidence spiralled and alongside my eroded sense of self-worth, past experiences bubbled to the surface - experiences I had never truly accepted and moved on from.I have developed my own strategies and cognitive processes to deal with IVF issues and other emotional 'baggage'. From recognising and understanding "hormone logic", to asking myself the "5 Questions", I have survived IVF and emerged emotionally cleansed.
