Author Biography
Of the three authors and equal members of Project 68 described in the book, Tom Follett, Jim Morris, and Dick Newick, it was Dick Newick who became a celebrated multihull designer. 'Cheers' was but one of his designs that secured a place in sailing history. Jim Morris can be credited for making Project Cheers happen and Tom Follett; the extremely private, but much loved hero of this adventure.
