Land-based of marine pollution have become the major contributor of pollution and contamination in the marine environment. Entering the ocean waters, via several pathways and contribute to the harm of the marine environment. The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the International and regional Instruments relating to prevention of land-based sources of marine pollution. After that I discusses the mechanisms assumed by the Sudan to adopt these rules on regional and national levels, and weaknesses of existing regimes in the Sudan, and the problem faced.
