Street's Guides are the result of his forty-four years of Caribbean experience- his first guide to the Virgin Islands (1964) has been expanded over the years to cover the entire eastern Caribbean. These guides give the mariner all the information needed to safely cruise the area, not only piloting information but also interesting background information on people, places and history.
Author Biography
D. M. Street, Jr., a lifetime sailor, has spent forty-four years cruising, charting and writing about the Caribbean. Forty of those years were spent on his 46' engineless yawl, Iolaire, built in 1905. He has spent the last four years on his 28' engineless yawl, Li'l Iolaire, gathering information for his guides in the winter and cruising European waters on Iolaire in the summer.
