Author Biography
Born and raised in southwest Florida, at the age of 11 Courtney Purcell found his passion for the mountains. It wasn't until the age of 29, though, that he decided to pursue his dream of a full-time mountain lifestyle, which led him to relocate to Las Vegas and a lifestyle that permitted him more than 175 days a year in the mountains. Over the years, Courtney has climbed more than 1,900 unique mountains across the globe, including nearly 175 in Zion National Park, a place which inspired him to write a second guidebook, "Zion National Park: Summit Routes." The long-awaited second edition of Courtney's Zion classic is underway.
