Author Biography

Berenice Suárez was born in Colombia. She emigrated to the United States at 20, searching for the famous "American Dream." Since childhood she showed her adventurous spirit and her passion for helping others. She always liked outdoor activities and enjoy nature next to her brother Raul Eduardo, and her neighbors. When she was 7 years old she started practicing soccer, typical sport in her homeland, Barranquilla. Upon entering high school, she became part of the basketball team and represented the school for six years. Then, she moved to New Jersey and while studying at the university she became overweight by more than 40 pounds. She felt so heavy and uncomfortable that she began jogging. Her passion for exercise and good nutrition increased after the sudden death of her brother. Unfortunately, she lost her mother at early age, and some time after her brother. Berenice didn't want to be another statistic in her family. So, her health became a life mission. For this reason, she decided to create a wellness and fitness blog, write books and help others with similar interests. She became personal trainer at late age. In other words, she was not a girl of those seen in the Gym. So she decided to continue her studies and become certified as "Senior Fitness Specialist", among others. The certifications achieved are not only to understand how to keep your body in shape while going through physically changing, but to help others like her that they are entering the stage of .... 40,50,60. Her message is: "Genes determine what could be, but your lifestyle determines what you actually become" Berenice is currently certified personal trainer.
