After teaching fourth grade for forty-two years, Beth St. Claire retires. To celebrate, she paints her living room beige. Then she has a heart attack. Michael Bartoli has had a rough ten years caring for his wife Evelyn. After her death, Michael has a heart attack. Beth and Michael meet in Cardiac Rehab and discover when your heart attacks you, everything changes. After a cross-country roadtrip in a borrowed Airstream, the newlyweds land in the middle of the Arizona desert. Here, together with family and friends, they celebrate their senior love story (wine is involved) and tackle a staggering worry-they may not have the financial means to grow old.
Author Biography
Sueann Pugh was born and raised in a small town in southern Illinois and attended Illinois State University, graduating with a degree in Special Education. She taught children with Learning Disabilities for Milwaukee Public Schools and has worked with special needs children and adults throughout her lifetime. In addition to traveling, painting and practicing Yoga and Tai Chi, writing has become a beloved senior endeavor. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she works part time, plays part time and embraces senior living full-time with her husband, Mark.
