Author Biography
Mary Brandl and Anita Bendickson are speakers, instructors and consultants in self-defense and strategies for managing confrontation.
They have instructed hundreds of groups and organizations. These have included individuals and groups with specialized situations, such as seniors, people with physical or mental disabilities, and those whose jobs involve confrontation. Mary and Anita hold 4th and 5th degree black belts respectively, and are registered with the American Amateur Karate Federation and the Japan Karate Association, U.S. They teach traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate through the Midwest Karate Association, Minneapolis/St. Paul.
