After the war and a psychological crisis, he removed himself to the small town of Montagnola, where he created his best-known works. He received many important honors, including the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1946. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eJoachim Neugroschel\u003c\/b\u003e (1938-2011) translated numerous books from French, German, Italian, Russian, and Yiddish.
