Author Biography
Ray Garrett grew up on a country road in hot, sweaty Alabama. He attended elementary school in the coal mining town of Bradford, then a lackluster high school in Jefferson County. He subsequently attended the University of Alabama, married his high school sweetheart and obtained a PhD in theoretical physics. His poems and essays are often influenced by his perspective as a scientist and rationalist. He has lived, raised a family, and immersed himself in various local, state and national issues from his home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
