Ghosts and hauntings are found almost everywhere that tragedy has left its mark. Soome died do quickly that they may not know that they are actually dead. Others died a linger death full of pain and torment. In both cases the spirits of those that died may linger around the place of death seeking a resolution of what happened to them. This is especially true of mmilitary ghosts. Soldiers, so focused on doing their duty have been seen to still carry out their assigned tasks longer after the war and their own lives are ended. From the shade of John Brown who walks the streets of Harpers Ferry to the ghosts who continue to refight the Battle of Antietam, miliary ghosts open up an entirely new chapter of our history.
