Security tokens are a new development in the world of cryptocurrencies that combine features of cryptocurrency tokens with those of traditional securities such as stocks and bonds, and which are designed to facilitate compliance with security regulations. This new instrument enables a new fundraising mechanism called the Security Token Offering.
