Author Biography

Having lived in Texas for over forty years, JoAnne Marich MacIntyre has chosen as the primary setting for her first novel, Strongest Bonds, Broken Fences, the Texas Hill Country in which she has been residing for the past eighteen years. Her previous employment background includes a successful business career with a prominent Houston corporation and twenty years of teaching in Houston, San Antonio, and Dripping Springs, Texas. Although she taught all subjects at the elementary level, during her years as a Middle School Teacher, her primary subject was English Language Arts. She retired in 2010 and focused on finishing her first novel. She currently has a sequel to Strongest Bonds, Broken Fences in progress. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, visiting historical museums and parks and is an avid reader. She is a fanatical football fan, and during the season, she can be found with her little rescue Jack Russell, Beagle mixed dog (Issadorable Mary Muldoon), both dressed in their Houston Texan jerseys, one cheering and the other barking. She admits to being a bad loser when the Texans lose.
