John Golde has deep-domain expertise in sales and marketing, and is a long-standing adjunct professor in sales/management at Harper College. A veteran in corporate sales, he capped a 30-year career with General Binding Corp as Vice President of the Dealer Division, overseeing 200+ dealers globally. A world traveller, John has had first-hand experience of good and bad service across a wide variety of cultures, and has often chafed under the collar when presented with shoddy service while out dining. This book is the result of his experiences and observations. The ideas have been tested out among his favorite servers, who are now, John is pleased to note, earning 20-25% in tips from all their customers and getting more fulfillment and enjoyment out of their jobs.
