Author Biography

Rick Telander is the senior sports columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times and a former senior writer for Sports Illustrated and ESPN: the Magazine. In 2018, he was awarded the Sigma Delta Chi Award for excellence by the Society of Professional Journalists, and in 2021, he was inducted into the National Sportswriters Hall of Fame. He is the author of ten books, including Heaven Is a Playground.
