Tarascan Roots is an expedition of affliction and wonder from childhood to manhood. This voyage takes you into the memories and mind of an immigrant, his story, and his dreams. This journey will take you back in time to the golden era of the Tarascos, the Aztecs, and to the feats of heroes before and after the Mexican Revolution. This odyssey is a pilgrimage paved with pain, love, and healing for the human spirit. This soul-searching adventure happens in a mythical place, where a patriotic history repeats itself, over and over again. This story happens in a glorious yet dangerous place-where brave and unpretentious people fall and rise up. My memories cover events in, around, and beyond that place. That special place. That corner in heaven where I was born and raised: Apatzing n in the state of Michoac n, in my beloved Mexico.
