The 9 Cats, (Poppy, Molly, Daisy, Millie, Milo, Monty, Charlotte, Stella and Tiger), are having a day out in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. They are enjoying their picnic beside the banks of Loch Ness when they are visited by Nessie, who lives in the water. Nessie needs someone to help her friend Aggie, a highland cow, who has become stuck in a fence. The cats immediately want to do what they can for her.
As they are trying to help Aggie, a group of brightly coloured fairies appear. Nessie has seen these fairies before as they love to play among thistles and pop up to say hello now and then. They join in to help Aggie as well, then show the cats how to play their favourite games with daisy stems and thistles too, before helping them have a magical sail across the loch on Nessie's back. A story of magic, friendship and fun!
