The Adventures of Slade the Fire Dog follows our canine hero as he comes to live at the community fire station. Taken in by firefighter Stoney, Slade becomes an important member of the firefighting crew. Follow the adventures as Slade goes through physical fitness training, search and rescue training, and firefighting training and learns how to help keep his community safe as he becomes Slade the Fire Dog
Author Biography
The author has been a fire fighter for 40 years, he spent 34 years with the Fort Worth Fire Department until he retired. He is currently a volunteer fire fighter and rescue diver in his hometown with the DCBE/Acton Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoys traveling around the world with his wife, SCUBA diving, motorcycle riding and teaching Sunday school. He is a lifelong dog owner and lives with his wife, a cat and two dogs, Saber and Sasha, on Lake Granbury, in Texas.
