The Art of My Color is a book of poems in the point of view of a woman of color going through her past relationship. She speaks of the terrible man she fell in love with and walks you through how she is learning to love who she is. These poems explain her thoughts and what she deals with in her past, present, and the future. She is full of beauty. She is magnificent. She is artwork, however, she does not know it yet. This is the art of her color.
Author Biography
Jessica Burgos is a new teenage Author and Poet from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is Dominican but was born and raised in Kissimmee, Florida. She enjoys reading, writing, and some spoken word. Her newest book "The Art of Her Color" was published at sixteen and she plans on writing more in the future.
