A Red Ribbon Winner and highly recommended." The Wishing Shelf Book Awards."Nice idea to combine art, adventure and a primary school life. I like that it aimed to young readers but does not have any 'teenager's' themes. My 9yo read it number of times and enjoyed different scenarios. Choose your own adventure is a great format to keep kids engaged in reading." May 13, 2017 Olya Sukhovskaya (Goodreads Reader) rated it it AMAZING. 5 STARS "The author really draws us into the adventure while taking us on an exciting rollercoaster of a ride around the 'art world'. Let your child lose themselves in this book, or its a wonderful book to read together, allowing your kids to select different pathways and outcomes of the art adventure. I recommend it " May 08, 2017 Cindy Alice (Goodreads Reader) rated it AMAZING, 5 STARS
Author Biography
M.A. Notaras has been writing for a long time and still has her story 'The Red Shoe' written in grade 2! Of course it didn't stop there - after primary school she wrote teenage broody poems, then an unfinished human/alien coming of age musical in her early twenties, plus lots of electrifying songs known only to her shower; eventually she plucked up the courage to enter The Sydney Writer's Festival's public entry competition "Write A Story To Save Your Life" with her 9 minute epic rhyming story "The Big Cheese" - and won! - making it truly the best evening of her life! Now as a mum, she concentrates on children's stories - and figures that if she can make her kids laugh or get scared, then she's on the right track. "The Art Show That Came To Life" is also available as a customised set for schools (including your own 4 teachers as characters, plus school & locality details) to encourage reading or as a healthy/educational fundraiser - for more information please visit www.myschooladventure.com. M.A. Notaras is based in Sydney, Australia, and that's why this novel is too. Happy Reading!
