At this point, Jessie's given up on her dreams of a peaceful retirement. In addition to the cabal's resurrection, she's reminded once again that being a witch has some hazards- like the time her best friend Greta was kidnapped by an unhinged vampire cult. When the cult resurfaces and kidnaps Greta's niece, she and Jessie must call on their motley band of allies, the Witch and Vampiric Councils, and the oldest of the great dragons to save the girl.
The kidnapping brings about some unsavory revelations about the cabal and the danger they all face, and it's up to Jessie, Greta, and their friends to race against the clock to stop a catastrophe that threatens the world while sending one of their dearest allies into his own personal hell.
