A divorced legal assistant in 1955 New York City, Alice White, travels to a small upstate mountain community to investigate the violent death of a doctor. Marc Hirsch was born in New York City and raised in the Bronx. He graduated Boston University School of Medicine in 1969. He retired from medical practice in 2011.
