Lena was seemingly always late in getting assignments in for school. In Grade 6, my Social Studies Teacher gave an assignment to the class to write a short story on anything. Lena did not complete mine on time and when Lena was asked to read mine in front of the class, she had to admit it wasn't complete. Her mother was notified and that evening she sat with my mother and wrote out a story from my dreams about a crystal clock that stopped time. It wasn't a traditional clock. It was a giant crystal in the center of a crystal cave. In her dreams, sometimes she would touch the surface of the crystal and time would stop.
