Sport and the Christian faith are essentially one and the same thing. Everyone has an innate sense of God. You can travel to any town in the entire world and always find two things: a place of worship and an athletic field. Why the athletic field? It is a metaphor of the Christian faith, all pertaining to our innate sense of God and the Faith. This book illustrates how Christianity and sport are one and the same and, just like in every sport, shows how to understand and win the Cosmic Game.
Author Biography
James Slyk was not an athlete from the start. Far from it. But after becoming a believer in the Lord 25 years ago, God took him on a journey to where he became a world power lifting champion and competed in multiple sports winning awards and medals, after completing his post secondary education with a BPE and minoring in religious studies. Through this journey, the Lord showed Jim how sport and the Christian faith are one and the same, compelling him to write this book.
