I hope reading about Jericho's struggle with addiction can help someone who is in a similar situation. I also want this story to show how the whole family suffers when there is addiction in the home. I want to dispel the "stereotype" of what an addict looks like and show that anyone can be affected. Substance use affects all, no matter what the socio-economic status, age, or race.
I also want to stress the importance of depending on God for healing, and deliverance from things like addiction, and family issues. Jericho learned that he needed strength, and it could only come from God. Sometimes the walls and barriers we create to keep others out, ends up hurting and not helping. I hope anyone struggling with addiction, or has a loved one with addiction, can benefit from Jericho's message, and apply it to their own struggles.
