This little booklet contains a great deal of very interesting lore on dowsing- variously an attempt to find water or minerals, using a Y-shaped or similar instrument, often of wood but also metal or bone. It contains a bit of history on the use of the same from ages then already past, especially in France. The folklore of dowsing (still in use today) is fascinating; but this work contains a good degree of secondary material on the subject which is quite in depth, while supporting dowsing's reality the entire time.
