This is an account of the beginnings of the helicopter air ambulance services from my unique perspective as a cheif flight nurse, who became an activist to improve air ambulance safety after my hospital experienced a fatal accident in 1982.
In my journey, I met many influential people who shaped the beginnings of civilian air ambulance from their military experiences, business perspectives and trauma giants, who I highlight in my interviews.
