Buddy, a young donkey, is chosen by wise Raven to be in the Animal Messenger Parade. This is quite an honor. There are many beautiful animals in the parade. Buddy knows only one animal can be selected to carry Raven's message. After much anticipation Buddy is chosen. Raven leads Buddy away from the other animals to give him a special message for a human. Buddy has many questions and doubts, and wonders how he will ever be able to find a way to do this. Buddy is successful in conveying the message to his human, a young girl, and she learns an important lesson about the many gifts animals have to offer.
