Author Biography
Dr. Melanie Butera graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She has witnessed firsthand for three decades the impact animals make in our lives. She is co-author, with Diane Reverand, of the book "Dillie the Deer: a True Story of Love, Healing, and Family" (Regan Arts, 2015). Marjorie Jean Geist (Illustrator) received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Barat College/ DePaul in Lake Forest, Illinois. She and her husband Kevin live in Chicago. "There is nothing more gratifying than someone wanting to escape into my images. Even just a simple smile from my viewers is rewarding."
