Poverty. What does scripture have to say about God's heart for the poor? We do well in teaching and practicing most of our disciplines. There are thousands of Bible study helps, hundreds of commentaries, and many different Bible translations. Bookstore shelves full of Christian self-help books. Plenty of books sitting on shelves teaching us how to worship and pray. Most of us believers practice some of these. When we attend Church, we worship well, pray well, and hear the word preached well. Perhaps we proclaim the Gospel well. But how well do we do the other Christian practices? What about the works? We are saved by grace, absolutely we are. However, if you claim to be saved then the acts and works must be evident.
