Author Biography

Fisher Howe is a consultant for nonprofit organizations with the Washington, D.C., firm of Lavender/Howe & Associates. Among other positions in nonprofit organizations, he has held the position of assistant dean and executive director of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of The Board Member's Guide to Fund Raising, Welcome to the Board: Your Guide to Effective Participation, and The Board Member's Guide to Strategic Planning, all from Jossey-Bass.
