Preaching, and especially expository preaching, is a vital part of the life of most churches. It is the most effective way of proclaiming the Word of God benefiting both preacher and congregation. It awakens an interest in the study of the Scriptures and helps to solve many of the problems of life. The expository method of Bible study seeks to present truths, concepts and principles that are taught by a Scripture passage. This book will help those called to preach to understand their calling and develop their gift thus becoming better able to communicate the Word of God in a way that their audience will understand their message and respond positively to.
Author Biography
The Rev Dr Ian Fleck and his wife Sandra worked as missionaries in Nigeria for 10 years with Mission Africa (Qua Iboe Mission). He lectured at Samuel Bill Theological College (SBTC) Abak and was Principal of Peter Achimugu College of Theology (PACT), Ankpa. He is Minister Emeritus of two Presbyterian Churches in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland after ministering there for 21 years. He has written several articles for magazines and is the author of four books including "Bringing Christianity to Nigeria."
