This is a short novel loosely based on the lives of six actual children growing up in a small southern town during the summer of '62.This book has been incorporated as Part I in the author's next novel, "The Neighbor We Never Knew." The narrative is filled with humor wrapped around a thread of darkness based upon a disturbing event which actually occurred during the author's childhood. An act of extreme violence soon follows, as the rascals become ensnared in a life and death mystery.
Author Biography
John Quick was born in middle Tennessee in the mid-50's and continues to live there in a rural farming community in a small rustic cabin he built himself in 1980. He is a former biology teacher and Windsor chairmaker. This is his first novel. He has now written three sequels in The Rascals of Stafford Street series.
