Their procedure, oversight, and thorough negligence violated my constitutional rights as a protective parent in each case, and threatened the safety of myself, my children, and could have cost the life of a four-day-old baby boy. My childhood experience as a ward of a state, having case managers of my own most of my life, along with my education in the criminal justice system provided me with the knowledge and confidence to challenge the system against their own rules.
