Author Biography
Robert J. Donovan first met Harry S. Truman in May 1947 and covered his term through 1953 as White House correspondent for the old "Herald Tribune." He is the author of the acclaimed two-volume work on the Truman presidency, "Conflict and Crisis: The Presidency of Harry S. Truman, 1945-1948 and Tumultuous Years, 1948-1953."
