Joseph Timothy Barnes lectured in Design and Technology to student teachers at the University of Papua New Guinea Education Faculty in Goroka during the years 1989-1991. This book is a collection of the letters he wrote to family and friends during those years-a snapshot in time of years spent in another country and another culture from someone seeing it all for the first time. The author / photographer describes the people and events that were part of his life, illustrating the text with many colourful photographs.
