This is a general reference work which lists the names and products of primary contractors who manufactured uniform items for the U.S. Army during World War I (The Great War). The information was collected from a number of sources and a bibliography is included. It gives contract or purchase dates of items, the number of items contracted for, the name and city location of the contractor, and the contract number if known. It is divided by type of uniform item manufactured, by name and or by War Department specification number.
