Author Biography

William R. Bright fue un evangelista estadounidense. En 1951, en la Universidad de California, Los Ángeles, fundó Campus Crusade for Christ como ministerio para estudiantes universitarios; y en 1952 escribió Las cuatro leyes espirituales. También produjo la película Jesús. En 1996, Bill fue galardonado con el Premio Templeton de 1,1 millones de dólares para el Progreso de la Religión, y donó el dinero para promover los beneficios espirituales del ayuno y la oración. En 2001 dejó de dirigir la organización y Steve Douglass pasó a ser su presidente.

William R. Bright was an American evangelist. In 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles, he founded Campus Crusade for Christ as a ministry for university students; and in 1952 he wrote The Four Spiritual Laws. He also produced the film Jesus. In 1996, Bill was awarded the $1.1 million Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, and donated the money to promote the spiritual benefits of fasting and prayer. In 2001 he stepped down as leader of the organization and Steve Douglass became president.
