Amateur radio has and can support hospital emergency communications during disasters. However, a radio operator supporting a hospital requires knowledge of the hospital environment, regulations and procedures to best serve the hospital customer. Typically all new hospital staff including physicians, contractors, volunteers and employees attend hospital orientation. Hospital orientation focuses on operations, regulatory requirements and safety. This book is a self paced orientation geared specifically for the hospital emergency amateur radio operator.
