Shannon Chilion's mother is dead and her father might as well be. Her boyfriend cheated on her with someone she thought was a friend, and as if she needed to make life any harder on herself at seventeen, she can now add drug addiction to the list of obstacles she faces. Shannon has been blessed with a guardian angel, or rather a Watcher, who acts as a sort of conscience, attempting to protect her from demons that tempt her.
