In an attempt to escape a dark past, flamboyant Marie moves from France to South Africa. Whether due to the hardship of growing up as a teenager in Northern Ireland, the nagging inner voice of a religious upbringing in a small town Downunder, or hiding a progressive disease from the world, each friend experiences shared events from their own, unique perspective.
It becomes clear that one of them is hiding a secret too painful to lay bare.
