by Cheryl Roach Thorpe (Author)

After reading this book, it becomes obvious why my sister would make her life "bare" to the world. It is recommendable that she would "chart" her life for all to see, so perhaps other readers with similar situations could also see a way out of their "dark places" and be guided into light, regaining their love, trust and hope." - Merlyn Roach. "An honest account of love gained, love lost and self-renewal. I recommend this book to the young and old. It will assist marriage counselors, pastors, those who are married as well as individuals contemplating marriage. The ending will surprise everyone. The writer demonstrates what David expressed, "The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth." -(Psalm 145: 18 AMP) - Dr. Wesley A. Plummer. "It is as if your entire life involved God allowing you to go through this because He could trust you being able to tell this story. Thank You Thank You It's not just for women but also for men to hear the kind of grief we cause by some of our actions." - Conrad Ruben

Author Biography

Born into a musical family on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, and with a passion for touching lives through dual ministry, Cheryl bares her soul as she shares a sometimes exasperating and painful journey in partnership, as reluctantly she is forced into "Solo Street" at the crossroads. Her headlamps for unsuspecting travelers are identified with humor and resilience. Her skills were honed on the campus of Caribbean Union College, (now University of the Southern Caribbean), a private denominational institution in the lush Maracas Valley countryside. Cheryl can always be found blessing others with her musical talents, literary skills and constant optimism. Continuing sources of joy are the performances of her 100 voice junior choir members of yesteryear, most of whom have now blossomed and excelled, especially in their own musical careers. This includes her son Chelton Jon, the founder and director of his own Brooklyn-based, gospel singing ministry, "Laos In Harmony". The joy of the Lord is her strength.
